Here, the verses are sung cleanly, while the main part of the chorus is growled. This song tells the story of the so-called Women's March on Versailles in 1789. One of the best examples for this is the song "Marching on Versailles". She can do clean vocals and growls equally well. I've already briefly touched on Melissa's vocals earlier, but I would like to elaborate a bit more. I have always been fascinated by this particular art and Ad Infinitum masters it beautifully here. The band manages to give us a very symphonic sound without actually using symphonic instruments. I can definitely see why Napalm Records signed them. Ad Infinitum does not need to hide behind the giants of this genre like Nightwish, Within Temptation or Visions of Atlantis (to be fair they might not be one of the "giants", but probably my favourite band of this genre). and justice for all? )īut enough name-dropping, let's get to the most important part, the music! Here, we have some classical symphonic metal in its best form. And of course, we can't forget Jonas Asplind's bass work, because no album is complete without good bass, ain't that right. Adrian Thessenvitz does an excellent job on the guitars and Niklas Müller is outstanding on the drums. But this review is not just about Melissa, just as the album isn't just by Melissa. You can really hear, that this is the style she is most comfortable with. Since she is the primary songwriter for Ad Infinitum, she can finally sing her own style and it is a huge improvement. However, none of these were HER bands and it showed.
For sure a 4/5 in my book :D.I know Melissa Bonny from her work with Rage of Light, Warkings, and Feuerschwanz and I did like her vocals there. And the music actually works! Nice game, though some spelling errors are apparent, along with some grammatical errors. It is certainly not a bad visual novel by any means, nothing like Minor/Major however, but hey! I'm sure this game won't delete my saves for no reason T-T. The skipping of school, and the sped up travel through days give it even more of a Saturday morning cartoon vibe. I've only gotten to the point in which I meet Logan but so far it feels exactly like a Saturday morning cartoon, which is certainly no insult! The soundtrack has this Sonic Unleashed feel which is, no matter your opinion of the game, pretty damn good! I enjoy this game a lot! There aren't many choices you make this far into the game unfortunately, but that adds to the cartoon part to it, which certainly is a double edge sword, it can give some serious segments less gravity on the reader, though I'm unsure if there will be any.
